Sneem is also close to other famous towns and villages. Killarney, to the North East, is worth a visit. Travel through Molls Gap along the R568 on the way to experience some of the most beautiful scenery in the country.

Travel south along the "Ring of Kerry" to visit the home of Daniel O'Connell, one of the first politicians to bring the plight of the Irish people to the attention of the British Parliament. His Statue stands at the bottom of O'Connell Street in Dublin.
